Touch Footy

At touch footy tonight, we are playing a team called "Wombats". For those of you not up on native Australian wildlife, wombats look like this.

Here's hoping that our opponents take on the characteristic waddle, and are of a more rotund stature than ourselves ... and if they start to burrow, so much the better. :)
They have also been known to bite, so I'll be keeping away from their heads, just in case!

The wombat is my chosen "marauding marsupial" in the ecosystem, even though they tend to be more lazy than marauding, I suppose :)

If my opponents really looked like wombats, I might be rendered helpless with laughter. Don't let them fool you. They're sneaky little buggers. (Not like I really know ANYthing about wombats. :))

Well, those wombats last night must certainly have been channeling their lazy, sneaky side instead of their marauding side. Only three of them turned up, so they forfeited the match!
